‘Elysia Dress’ - MIDI LENGTH EXTENSION KiT (PDF Pattern)

This is an add-on extension KiT only and will need to be used in conjuction with Bow Patchwork ‘Elysia’ Dress (PDF Pattern), as sold on our website.

The Midi Length Extension KiT for the Bow Patchwork ‘Elysia’ dress will enable you to alter the length of the original dress by adding two additional skirt rows (rows SK 5 and SK 6) to the bottom of the original dress pattern, whilst maintaining the bow-patchwork repeat pattern, creating a very voluminous midi-length dress.

The download includes the additional pattern pieces (only pattern pieces highlighted in pink are included in the download) and simple sewing instructions (for these additional rows)

  • The new length measurements for the Midi Length Bow Patchwork ‘Elysia’ Dress are listed below. All other measurements are as per the original listing.

  • We recommend that if you are making the Extended midi-length version of the Bow Patchwork ‘Elysia’ Dress, you use lightweight fabrics, due to the amount of additional fabric in the pattern.

  • The below table provides fabric usage for each size. Note that the table below is the Total fabric usage for the Midi Length ‘Elysia’ Dress (i.e. the original dress + the additional 2 rows) :

  • The download includes the 4 additional pattern pieces required to lengthen the Bow patchwork ‘Elysia’ Dress and simple sewing instructions (for these additional rows).

  • Adding the additional 2 rows is relatively straightforward but will take a considerable about of time, as it is an additional 40 (large) patchwork pieces to sew!

    Also, due to the amount of fabric in the final two rows, you will be working with a lot of fabric under your sewing machine, which can be difficult to handle.
